CMS released interpretive guidance on the new Facility Assessment requirements that were incorporated in the Minimum Staffing Standards rule. The new requirements take effect on Aug. 8, 2024.
The new law requires nursing homes and ACFs to post notices of non-discrimination on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and HIV status. Required staff training is not yet available.
