DOH encourages nursing home administrators and others at the facility who are delegated responsibility for the submission of incident reports to review the manual and keep it readily available for reference.

The proposed amendment would conform the NATP minimum hours in state regulation with existing DOH guidance and federal regulation, requiring 75 hours of initial training.

DOH has posted guidance documents, transmitted DALs, and hosted webinars for providers in preparation for the Aug. 5^th effective date of the new Medical Aid in Dying law.

Only nursing homes that applied in 2025 are eligible for the 2026 round; applications are due Aug. 19^th.
