Nursing Homes CDC Schedules Webinar, Provides Resources on Respiratory Infection Outbreaks: The CDC will host a webinar on Jan. 27^th that will “provide the latest information on how to prevent and respond to respiratory infections and outbreaks in LTC facilities, including how to recognize a sick resident, considerations for testing, treatment, and vaccination, and infection prevention and control measures.” The agency also continues to update resources on respiratory infections that will be helpful for nursing homes and other providers in addressing flu, COVID, and RSV outbreaks this winter.

Urge Congress to Protect Medicaid in 2025!
Congress is moving through the budget reconciliation process, which aims to reduce federal spending by approximately $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years. Given the significant amount of savings being sought, Medicaid is a highly likely source of cuts (potentially up to $880 billion). Write to your members of Congress today to urge them not to include Medicaid cuts or harmful changes as part of budget reconciliation bills or other legislation.
