LAST CHANCE TO ACT: Call Congress to Oppose Cuts and Changes to Medicaid

The U.S. Senate passed its version of the federal budget bill today, July 1st, proposing to cut federal Medicaid spending by nearly $1 trillion. The bill threatens to cost NY at least $13.5 billion annually. We urge members to call Congress as soon as possible, urging them to oppose the Senate version of the bill!

Take Action

  • Urge Congress to Oppose Budget Reconciliation Bill

The Senate has passed a budget bill that would cut at least $800 billion in federal funding from the Medicaid program (the largest cut in American history). The bill would deeply harm older adults and the mission-driven, nonprofit providers who serve them, particularly in NY. Please click here to read more and urge Congress to reject the proposed budget bill!

  • Urge Congress to Protect Medicaid in 2025!

Congress is moving through the budget reconciliation process, which aims to reduce federal spending by approximately $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years. Given the significant amount of savings being sought, Medicaid is a highly likely source of cuts (potentially up to $880 billion). Write to your members of Congress today to urge them not to include Medicaid cuts or harmful changes as part of budget reconciliation bills or other legislation.
