NYC DOHMH has commenced its 2023-2024 Jurisdictional Risk Assessment, an assessment conducted every five years that aims to gather information about public health threats, analyze them, and identify the most important threats based on how likely they are to exceed existing City emergency response capabilities. All NYC members, regardless of service line, are urged to complete the JRA Round 1 Preparedness Capabilities Survey, which will evaluate NYC’s preparedness level as outlined by the CDC’s 15 Public Health Emergency Preparedness Capabilities.

Test alerts will be broadcast on televisions, radios, and cell phones.

Dangerous temperatures and humidity are in the forecast through the middle of the week; DOH is advising facilities and providers to take all necessary precautions to keep patients and residents safe.

Members are encouraged to review the guidance and take all necessary safety measures during the summer months to keep both staff and residents/patients safe.
