Governor Signs Bills to Protect Workers and Authorize Nursing Home Equity Withdrawals, Vetoes Bill Banning For-Profit Hospice Bills signed include legislation to prohibit exploitative training reimbursement agreements and prevent workplace violence, to authorize enhanced withdrawals of equity from certain nursing homes, and to dedicate nursing home staffing fines to recruitment and safety grants. The Governor vetoed a bill banning new and expanded for-profit hospice programs.
