LeadingAge National Analysis Available: HUD MFH Service Coordinator NOFO
In late 2023, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published its first new funding opportunity for Service Coordinator grants since Fiscal Year 2014. The $40 million made available from HUD will fund approximately 160 new Service Coordinator programs for an initial three-year period, followed by the option for annual renewals.
After LeadingAge National made the agency aware of discrepancies in submission requirements, HUD made technical corrections to its Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to clarify narrative lengths for grant application components and to correct the overall submission limit to 25 pages. The application submission deadline is still March 14th.
This new resource from LeadingAge National reviews HUD’s approaches to Service Coordination funding and the details of the current NOFO, including what the association knows about application scoring, program budgeting, and key application components.
LeadingAge National will also host its second workshop on the HUD Service Coordinator NOFO on Feb. 8th from 12:30-3 p.m., free and exclusively for LeadingAge members.
