DSRIP Weekly Update-Sept. 22, 2015
This week in Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program news, Performing Provider Systems (PPSs) met to share ideas and promising practices. Meanwhile, Implementation Plans are being perfected, and new and improved resources are now available.
PPS Implementation Plans
The DSRIP Independent Assessor (IA) is currently reviewing PPS project implementation plans. Each PPS will get a list of deficiencies to be corrected. The remediation timeframe for this and PPS First Quarterly reports was recently extended to Sept. 24, 2015, and it is anticipated that final Implementation Plans will be made available by Oct. 1st.
Learning Symposium
The Department of Health (DOH) hosted the first DSRIP Conference last week on Sept. 17-18. The conference was specifically for participants in PPSs and focused in large part on value based payments, as well as sharing insights on promising examples of care transitions/integrated delivery systems, workforce challenges, and provider and patient engagement. The event also focused on the tools to monitor data and progress. We will share more information from the session as we learn more.
Value Based Payment Resources
DOH is posting materials related to the work of the various Value Based Payment (VBP) subcommittees on the DSRIP website. While this is intended to serve as a way of sharing information among the subcommittees, it can also aid in understanding the State’s direction on VBP. Click here to view the site. LeadingAge New York is represented on those subcommittees relevant to our members.
The MIX Gets a Makeover
As we have previously reported, the Medicaid Redesign Team Innovation eXchange (MIX) is a forum for dialogue and exchanging information regarding MRT innovation, including DSRIP. DOH is working on ways to make the forum more useful and easier to use. As a result, they have developed the following groups for public discussion and collaboration.
1. Governance and Finance Group
2. Public DSRIP Project Group
3. Workforce Strategy Group
4. Data Sharing and IT Group
5. Value Based Payment Group
There will no longer be active discussions in on the Behavioral Health and Supportive Housing Discussion groups, but they will be archived, and previous posts will be maintained for your review.
