DSRIP Weekly Update-May 5, 2015

For LeadingAge NY members engaged in the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program, it was a relatively quiet week. Below are some resources that may be of interest.

DSRIP Update at Annual Conference

Don't miss our session on DSRIP at the Annual Conference! Updates will be provided specific to LeadingAge NY members' roles in DSRIP. The session will also feature a discussion on Value Based Payment, and both the work that the State and LeadingAge NY are doing on the issue. 

Resources on Evolving Payment Systems

KPMG is hosting a webcast entitled Alternative Payment Arrangements – Implications for Finance. This is part of a series of Care System Redesign Webcasts on, the latest Healthcare & Life Sciences Webcast. The webcast will “…explore the challenges brought on by changing healthcare payment models and how the finance function of tomorrow can prepare to actively manage and monitor them. Many of these changes will require new infrastructures; new data and analytics capabilities; new approaches to funds flow; and new skills to support improved reporting, governance, and accurate financial reporting.” Click here for more information and registration.

The New York State Health Foundation, supported by NYSHealth, issued score cards on payment reform. The resources provide a snapshot of how health care is being paid for in the State, highlighting the shift away from fee-for-service towards Value Based Payment. Vital Access Provider Assurance Program (VAPAP) Resources 

A webcast of the VAPAP Applicant conference that took place on Wed., April 29 can be accessed here. As we reported before, this was an opportunity for financially distressed hospitals, and unlikely to be a direct opportunity for LeadingAge NY members. Rather, we wanted to make you aware given the partnerships that members have with hospitals. Applications were due Thurs., April 30, 2015.
