DSRIP Weekly Update - June 17, 2014
Those of you who have been following the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program closely will not be surprised to hear that there is new news, resources and updates. In addition, LeadingAge New York has been working with other stakeholders on advocacy and the development of resources for our members. Here is a summary:
LeadingAge New York and the Adult Day Health Care Council, along with several of our colleagues, submitted a letter to the Department of Health regarding the omission of key safety net providers on the DSRIP page. We want to ensure that every qualified provider has the ability to fully financially participate in DSRIP if they so desire. Click here to view the letter.
LeadingAge New York is working with our colleagues at other associations to provide programming to our members to support their participation in DSRIP projects. Several programs are coming up in the weeks to come, all free of charge:
- Identifying Post-Acute DSRIP Partners and Examples of Cross-Setting Transition Initiatives: June 20, 10 -11a.m. This program will focus on ways that post-acute providers can identify and highlight their value for prospective Provider Performing Systems (PPSs) that are working to align providers for DSRIP projects. Discussion will also include examples of cross-setting initiatives that would be attractive for DSRIP project domains. Click here for more information and registration.
- How Do You Measure Successful Behavioral Health Integration?: Wednesday, June 25, 1 - 2 p.m. This program will discuss the integration of behavioral health and primary care, as well as strategies to integrate behavioral health services in nursing home settings. The webinar will also provide insight on measures providers can focus on to achieve successful integration. Click here for more information and registration.
- Increasing Access to Palliative Care in the Community Through New Relationships and Partnerships: June 19, 3-4:p.m. While not specifically designed for DSRIP participation, this program is relevant in that it speaks to cross setting partnerships, care transitions and palliative care; themes highlighted DSRIP toolkit. Click here for more information and registration.
- We are in the process of planning a program on regulatory reform, and welcome member insights on ideas of reforms related to DSRIP; more information to come.
The Department of Health (DOH) provided some updates as well:
- DOH has planned a webinar on DSRIP Program Evaluation Design on Monday, June 23, 2014, from 11:00a.m. -12:00pm. This program webinar will provide information on the evaluation process. Space is limited; click here to register. Please note that this program will be recorded.
- DOH has posted Guidelines for the Community Needs Assessment, which can be viewed here. More information is forthcoming.
- Feedback from state agencies and partners was recently posted for emerging Peforming Provider Systems (PPSs) to the Letters of Intent website.
As always, we encourage members to let us know what you need related to DSRIP, or any other matter.
