DSRIP Weekly Update-Jan.6, 2015

Things were relatively quiet this week regarding the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program. With applications now under review, this time provides a brief reprieve for those involved in Performing Provider Systems. The big news relates to capital funding, and the DSRIP Project Approval and Oversight Panel.

DSRIP Project Approval and Oversight Panel

The DSRIP Project Approval and Oversight Panel will meet for the first time on Jan. 12, 2015 in Meeting Rooms 2-4, Empire State Plaza, Albany, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The meeting is a work session for the panel members, and there will be no public comment period; however, it is open to the public with limited seating available.  No pre-registration is required.

The Panel is scheduled to meet again Feb. 17 to Feb. 20, again in Meeting Rooms 2-4, Empire State Plaza.  There will be a public comment period at this session; more detail will be provided in early February. These meetings will also be webcast and can be viewed live here.

The role of this Panel is to serve as a non-conflicted group of experts and stakeholders to review the independent assessors recommendations on the DSRIP Project Plan scoring.  The assessor will present each of the submitted Project Plans with its score and recommendations, and the Panel will have the opportunity to accept, reject or modify the initial recommendation.  The Panel recommendations will be presented to the State, and if the State makes a determination that differs from the independent assessor, it must be explained to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Below is a list of the Panel members.
