DSRIP Weekly Update-Feb. 24, 2015
Performing Provider System (PPS) representatives were immersed in the activities of the Project Approval and Oversight Panel (PAOP), last week. Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) continues to review the hundreds of regulatory waiver requests to facilitate implementation of PPS projects, with some approvals being issued in the next few weeks.
Public Comment on Project Plan Applications and PAOP Review
DOH provided a revised compilation of all public comments received regarding DSRIP PPS Project Plan Applications; the document issued last week was incomplete. Click here to view the complete document, as well as a summary. On behalf of our members, LeadingAge NY provided comments, which can be viewed here.
The PAOP met over four days last week to hear public comment on the panel, as well as presentations from the PPS representatives and the Independent Assessor. Archived webcasts of these meetings can be viewed here.
The PAOP is charged with reviewing Project Plan Application scoring conducted by the Independent Assessor, which can be viewed here. The PAOP advises the Commissioner of Health on whether to accept, reject or modify the recommendations. They will serve as advisors and reviewers of PPS status and project performance for the duration of the project. We presume that additional information regarding the PAOP’s recommendations will be forthcoming.
