DSRIP Weekly Update-Dec. 30, 2014
This was a relatively quiet week for those following the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program. We recommend you take this time to get your rest now in preparation for a busy year! Below are a few updates on where things are with DSRIP, and a reminder of resources.
COPA and ACO Updates
The Certificate of Public Advantage (COPA) regulations took effect on Dec. 17, 2014, and are available here. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document has been revised accordingly; and questions 5 and 15 were amended. Lastly, a new question 23 was added. Click here to view.
The Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) FAQ document was also updated; questions 4 and 12 have been revised, and new questions 14 and 15 have been added. Click here to view.
With regard to the status of COPA and ACO applications, those Performing Provider Systems (PPS) that submitted applications:
- on or before Dec. 22, 2014, should expect to be notified of the Department of Health’s (DOH’s) determination by April 1, 2015;
- on or before Feb. 1, 2015, should expect to be notified of DOH’s determination by June 30, 2015; and,
- applications will be accepted on a rolling basis after Feb. 1, 2015, but notification may not be made until after June 30, 2015.
Scale and Speed
By Jan. 5, 2015, PPS leads must submit Scale and Speed Application responses to KPMG; and by Jan. 12, the Final Scale and Speed submission. While these activities are generally not the responsibility of our members, the details may impact projects that you are engaged in.
The MIX
We want to remind members of the opportunity to share ideas on the MRT Innovation eXchange, known as the MIX. The MIX is “an idea bank” regarding DSRIP and Medicaid Redesign. To join, go to www.NY-MIX.org.
Any DSRIP questions for DOH may be directed to dsrip@health.ny.gov. Members are encouraged to let us know how we can support your participation in DSRIP.
