Register Now for Feb. 24 Program on MRT Waiver DSRIP Program

As new information is emerging about CMS approval for the state’s “MRT waiver,” LeadingAge NY invites members to participate in an educational and networking event to identify opportunities and potential partners.  Registration is available online for the Feb. 24 event to learn more about the MRT Waiver Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program.  This event will occur from 2 to 4:30 p.m. live in Rensselaer, while being broadcast to a variety of other sites throughout the state. We are finalizing details to provide an additional in-person event to take place on another date in New York City; more information will be available soon.The program will convene a variety of stakeholders, and is being presented by LeadingAge NY in collaboration with other associations. Click here for more information.

While reports are suggesting that New York will be approved for an $8 billion waiver program, as opposed to the initial $10 billion proposed; it seems the waiver will be finalized soon.  Once the waiver is approved, we anticipate a very aggressive time frame to collaborate with community partners and prepare applications; so this event is timely and interested members are strongly encouraged to participate.  While some details are still unclear, the DSRIP is likely to include Medicaid providers that can actively contribute to the prevention or reduction in hospitalization and meet rigorous data collection requirements.
