LeadingAge New York has updated its chart summarizing the state’s plans for transitioning the long term care population into Medicaid managed care plans and the FIDA demonstration. The Oct. 1 edition of the chart reflects the recent approval for mandatory managed care enrollment in Orange and Rockland Counties and the planned Dec. 1 date for mandatory enrollment in upstate urban counties.

DOH held a webinar to review key points of the state’s FIDA demonstration agreement with CMS. A recording will be posted on the DOH website this week.

MLTC Policy 13.03(A): Includes the definition of Community Based Long Term Care (CBLTC) Services, applicability to Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP).

The DOH Nursing Home Transition Workgroup met to review subcommittee recommendations on issues such as nursing home network requirements, Medicaid eligibility determinations and payments to nursing homes and managed care plans.

DOH asked for comments and recommendations on conflict-free case management during their presentation at the LeadingAge New York Annual Conference.
