Think Ebola: New CDC Resource for Health Care Providers

(June 30, 2026) Although no Ebola cases have been reported in the U.S., health care providers should remain vigilant as outbreaks continue in parts of Africa, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda. To support early recognition and response, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a Think Ebola factsheet. That resource and many others can be found here.

The resource is designed to help providers quickly identify potential Ebola cases among patients, residents, visitors, or staff who have recently traveled to affected areas. Early detection, appropriate screening, and timely action are critical to protecting individuals in health care and long-term care settings.

Health care providers are encouraged to review and share the factsheet to strengthen preparedness and ensure awareness of key signs, symptoms, and travel-related risk factors.
