LeadingAge NY Diversity Committee 2024 Wrap-Up
(Jan. 28, 2025) The LeadingAge NY Diversity Committee held a two-part webinar series in 2024 focused on the value of creating inclusive workplaces. The first webinar, Better Together: Creating an Inclusive Culture, discussed the benefits, research, and return on investment for organizations when they work to build diverse teams and the employee satisfaction it creates.
The second webinar, Better Together: Creating an Inclusive Culture Part II; How do we get there?, focused on how organizations can begin to create inclusive practices and the tangible steps to take when embarking on this journey.
As a follow-up to the webinar series, the Diversity Committee released its fourth toolkit, Operationalizing Equity, which aims to help members build practices and create cultures where everyone, regardless of their background, feels valued and empowered to contribute their ideas and talents.
The landscape around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) continues to evolve; however, the commitment from the LeadingAge NY Diversity Committee is unwavering. We strive to provide education and resources to support members in building organizations with increased employee engagement and lower turnover, and ultimately places where employees love to work.
