Effective Dec. 30^th, the definition of “up to date” with COVID-19 vaccination for NHSN weekly reporting purposes has changed.

DOH published a reminder for nursing homes regarding the responsible party for vaccine payment for Medicaid beneficiaries living in nursing homes who are not also covered by Medicare.

The CDC recently hosted a webinar on the new changes to NHSN LTC reporting requirements for acute respiratory illnesses.

HERDS reporting will be put on a brief pause on Thurs., Nov. 28^th for Thanksgiving.

Nursing home members are reminded to review their 2025 PPE stockpile requirements and bring their inventories into compliance with their updated required quantities.

Comments on the proposed rule are due March 15^th.

Reporting will resume on Thurs., Dec. 26^th and Thurs., Jan. 2^nd.

NHSN LTC component: Respiratory Pathogens and Vaccination Updates will be held on Wed., Dec. 11^th at 1 p.m. ET, and a replay session will be held on Tues., Jan. 7^th at 1 p.m. ET.
