Facilities must ensure that all PBJ-reported hours reflect direct care or administrative work performed physically within the facility.

While the changes were primarily clarifications, we remind members that CMS updated PBJ reporting materials in June.

Nursing homes must submit staffing information for the first quarter of calendar year 2025.

After a federal delay in releasing the data, nursing home members can now download the tool comparing their staffing to State standards for Q3 of 2024.

Facility responses are due within 10 business days, although the process is complicated by recent State determinations regarding acute labor shortages.

The findings will bar some nursing homes that are unable to meet minimum staffing standards regardless of best efforts from applying for penalty reductions.
