Medicare PECOS Update

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has revised the Internet-based Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership (PECOS) Contact Information Fact Sheet.

The updated resource is now available and downloadable by clicking here.  Included with this resource are contact information and links to a full range of PECOS technical resources.  Remember that PECOS is now a critical tool for ensuring accuracy and timely information regarding Medicare provider enrollment and certification information.  Physicians and non-physician practitioners may access Internet-based PECOS by using the user IDs and passwords that they established when they applied online to the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) for their National Provider Identifiers (NPIs).
