LeadingAge NY Comments on SNF PPS Rule

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published the proposed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS) Rule for fiscal year 2018 in the May 3, 2017 Federal Register, which can be accessed here. LeadingAge NY submitted written comments to CMS on June 26, 2017.

Our comments focused on several areas of the SNF PPS rule, including the Medicare wage index, consolidated billing, and revisions to the SNF Quality Reporting and Value-Based Purchasing programs. We also responded to CMS’ request for input on regulatory reform by recommending revisions to the Requirements of Participation rule adopted in 2016.
