FISS DDE Recertification Deadline Extended

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is extending the deadline for Medicare providers to recertify with the Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) Direct Data Entry (DDE) system to June 6, 2014.

The previous deadline was April 30th and was to be the cut-off date for providers to complete the recertification survey. As of today, if you have not recertified you may find that your access to the FISS DDE is terminated. The June 6th extension allows providers additional time to complete the recertification survey and restore access to the system.

National Government Services (NGS) has released an important announcement for any provider who has not recertified available by clicking here. Any provider who has not recertified or is unsure of their current status should review the NGS guidance.
