CMS Publishes Medicare Cost Sharing Amounts for 2025

(Nov. 12, 2024) On Nov. 8th, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published Medicare Parts A and B premium and deductible information for Calendar Year (CY) 2025. Medicare Part B covers physicians’ services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health services, durable medical equipment, and certain other medical and health services not covered by Medicare Part A. The standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $185.00 for 2025, an increase of $10.30 over the 2024 premium. The annual deductible for all Medicare Part B beneficiaries will be $257 in 2025, an increase of $17 over 2024. The Part B premium for individuals with income between $106,000 and $394,000 will increase to $591.90, while those whose income exceeds $394,000 will pay $628.90.

The Medicare Part A daily skilled nursing facility (SNF) coinsurance amount for days 21-100 will increase from $204 to $209.50. The hospital inpatient deductible will jump $44 to $1,676, while daily hospital coinsurance for days 61-90 will be $419.
