Third Installment of Universal Settlement to be Paid

LeadingAge NY is pleased to announce that the third installment payment of the Universal Settlement of Nursing Home Rate Appeals and Litigation (“Settlement”) has just been made to the two Settlement Trustees, one of which is Hinman Straub, our general counsel.

Hinman Straub and LeadingAge NY are working together closely to generate and distribute the checks to participating facilities this week. As with the first two installments, facilities will receive their checks from us via UPS.

This payment is the third of five equal Settlement installment payments and was due to be made no later than March 31, 2018. We are pleased that the State agreed to accommodate our request for an earlier payment date. The remaining installments are payable on or before March 31, 2019 and March 31, 2020, respectively.
