"Picture Dates" Are Last Wednesdays in January and July

Although formal notification has not been issued, the Department of Health (DOH) has indicated that case mix "picture dates" are expected to remain the last Wednesday of January and the last Wednesday of July in 2018. A Jan. 31, 2018 picture date means that MDS assessments completed starting Nov. 1, 2017 may be used in the case mix index (CMI) calculation. We urge members to ensure that assessments are correct and complete and are filed on time. We will echo to members any notification DOH issues on 2018 picture and roster upload dates.
