Nursing Home Medicaid Rates

DOH has announced that retroactive rate adjustments reflecting the removal of the five percent constraint to CMI change will be paid a week later than originally intended. This affects the 300 homes whose July 2012 rates were impacted by the five percent constraint and as a result, are awaiting retro adjustments. The DOH message is copied below.

Subject: Processing Nursing Home July 1, 2012 Case Mix Rate Adjustments in Cycle 1876

Dear Administrator:

Please be advised that the Department was not able to process the Nursing Home Medicaid Rates for the July 1, 2012 case mix adjustment that was originally anticipated to be processed in cycle 1875. The processing has been delayed one week and we now expect to have these rates processed in cycle 1876, with checks dated August 5, 2013, and a check release date of August 21, 2013.
