Nursing Home Medicaid Payment Update
The Department of Health (DOH) is notifying nursing homes that adjustments to Medicaid payment cycle 2057 meant to reconcile the 2015 Cash Receipts Assessment (CRA) contained errors. To correct the issue, DOH will reverse the CRA adjustments contained in cycle 2057 in Medicaid payment cycles 2059 and 2060. The correct adjustments will then be included in payment cycle 2061, which has a March 8th check release date. While the correction will be done automatically without homes needing to take any action, members should monitor CRA-related adjustment amounts to ensure that the reversals match the adjustments reflected in cycle 2057. DOH expects to have the 2015 CRA reconciliation calculation sheets posted in early February.
DOH is working on posting the Jan. 1, 2017 rate sheets. Medicaid payment adjustments to reflect the rate update to Jan. 1st are expected in Medicaid payment cycle 2059 (check date of Feb. 6th; check release date of Feb. 22nd).
Homes eligible for year two of Advanced Training Initiative (ATI) funding should have received a "Dear Administrator" Letter (DAL) indicating that the final facility-specific amounts are calculated by multiplying 2015 Medicaid fee-for-service and Medicaid managed care days by $3.77, slightly higher than the originally announced amount of $3.66. The full annual amount is scheduled to be reflected in Medicaid payment cycle 2056, with a check release date of Feb. 1st.
