Nursing Home Cash Receipts Assessment Filing Delays

We remind members that DOH has extended cash receipts assessment report due dates for April through July 2014 reports.  These extended due dates apply only to nursing homes as the state decides how to address the 0.8 percent assessment increase that was implemented in lieu of a two percent across-the-board payment reduction that impacted all Medicaid providers.  The two percent cut was eliminated by state law effective April 1, 2014 but was recently re-imposed as the state awaits federal approval for its elimination.  The new due dates are:

  • April 2014 report, now due 07/15/14
  • May 2014 report, now due 07/31/14
  • June 2014 report, now due 08/15/14
  • July 2014 report, now due 09/02/14

Please note that the website for electronic submissions at www.hcrapools.org has been blocked for submission of these reports until July 1.  Questions may be addressed to cash receipts assessment program representatives at (315) 671-3800.

On a related note, the 2011 cash receipts assessment reconciliation originally scheduled to be reflected in May Medicaid payments is still awaiting approval by the Division of the Budget.  We will let members know as soon as a Medicaid payment adjustment date is established.
