New Medicaid System, Fiscal Agent for State in 2016

In 2016 the New York State Department of Health (DOH) will be transitioning to a new Medicaid fiscal agent, Xerox State Healthcare.  The new system will be web-based and be called New York Medicaid Management Information System (NYMMIS).  Xerox and DOH have developed a website to serve as an informational billboard for this transition.  It will be used by NYS Medicaid as the main source of updates and infomation regarding the implementation of NYMMIS.  The site is available here and currently has preliminary information including a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.  It also allows visitors to sign up to receive informational e-mails regarding the transition.  This interim website has no impact on the current eMedNY systems or on providers’ billing and other transactional requirements.

Xerox Government Health Services has reached out to LeadingAge New York to help educate members on the transition.  We will publicize those opportunities as they are developed and we urge members to sign up for e-mail updates by visiting the transition website.
