New Global Cap Report, Familiar Result

Nursing home Medicaid spending was slightly above projections while spending on other long term care services was $100 million lower than expected heading into the last month of the 2013-14 State fiscal year. The most recent Medicaid Global Spending Cap Report shows total year-to-date Medicaid spending was $73 million lower than projected at the end of February even though Medicaid enrollment increased 5.2 percent (by 271,057 individuals) during the same period. The State's accounts receivable balance from Medicaid providers was at $217 million, down by $183 million from April 2013. Regional Medicaid spending reports are available here.
