Medicaid Global Cap

In the recently issued Sept. 2013 Medicaid Global Spending Cap Report, DOH confirms that Medicaid spending for the current state fiscal year remains slightly below projections. Halfway through the year Medicaid spending is $47 million or 0.6 percent under projections. Nursing home spending is trending four million dollars below projections while other long term care Medicaid expenditures are $26 million lower than expected.
