LeadingAge NY is presenting a Managed Care Billing Seminar on May 8 at the Crowne Plaza in Syracuse, NY.  With mandatory enrollment in managed care already under way upstate for community-based Medicaid beneficiaries, and the upstate nursing home-managed care transition slated to begin Dec. 1, now is the time to make sure that your organization is prepared to submit claims to managed care plans.

As a provider accustomed to billing Medicaid fee-for-service, you could always count on the regular cycle of Medicaid payments. As the system transitions to managed care, your revenue cycle will become dependent upon your ability to submit “clean claims” that align with each plan’s contract requirements.
