NYS is temporarily suspending case mix adjustments to focus on its intended transition to Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) Medicaid. To support this transition, the January 2024 operating rate will be frozen until the new methodology is implemented. Rates for January 2024 will be determined based on thorough assessments conducted between April 1, 2023 and Sept. 30, 2023.
