July 1st: An Important PBJ Date

July is almost upon us, and with July comes the requirement that nursing homes start collecting staffing data in a format that will allow them to report it accurately to CMS. The first submission to CMS is not due until fall, but it is critical that systems are in place now to meet the new Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) requirements. The CMS PBJ Manual is available here.
