Important: LeadingAge NY Budget Guidance

LeadingAge NY has been holding a series of educational events around the nursing home budget process for next year, including a series of CFO council meetings and a dedicated session for our public facilities, and culminating in a detailed and comprehensive presentation by Darius Kirstein at our just completed Financial Manager’s Conference.  The core document used in these presentations is updated and available on our website (please click here).  It is intended for members to use as a reference as they continue the challenging task of budgeting and making financial projections for the coming year.  Between now and the end of the year we will also be updating the presentation with new information as it develops.  The presentation also guides members through the LeadingAge national Medicare Part A rate template, which this year includes a feature for calculating the impact of sequestration.  As always, our staff is available to assist members with individual questions and guidance.
