Hurricane Sandy Related Payments

Eighty-five homes impacted by Hurricane Sandy received storm-related Medicaid payments in October.  These were homes whose e-MedNY data matched their Hurricane Sandy survey submissions.  The ninety-some homes whose surveys did not fully match e-MedNY claims data were asked to make adjustments to their surveys earlier this month.  DOH is currently processing the next batch of payments for those homes whose adjusted survey information now matches e-MedNY data with the hope of issuing the next round of payments in December.  DOH staff continues to work with homes still reporting discrepancies.   

DOH has been holding negative rate and assessment reconciliation adjustments for some homes in Sandy-impacted counties pending these payments and will begin processing the held adjustments shortly.
