Governor Announces Consumer Assistance for Storm-related Insurance Claims

The governor has announced a resource for storm victims to refer complaints regarding insurance
company processing of storm related claims. The DFS Mediation Program for Disputed or Denied
Insurance Claims website is a resource for both individuals and organizations. Members who are
experiencing problems in dealing with their insurance company can go directly to the How to File a
Complaint section of the Department of Financial Services website and follow the instructions.
Members should also note that for a limited time DOH is still considering attestations for stormimpacted nursing homes interested in accelerated Medicaid payments through the suspension of the two-week lag.
