Don't Wait to Submit Capital Rate Corrections

We remind member nursing homes wishing to make corrections to their 2017 capital calculation that they need to submit a pro-forma capital schedule showing corrected figures, a narrative description of the correction being made, and the signed attestation form (available here) assuring the Department of Health (DOH) that the calculation is accurate and complies with capital rate setting laws, regulations, and policies. Correction requests must be submitted by email to nfrates@health.ny.gov and be received by DOH by Dec. 2, 2016.

DOH will review correction requests and, if they meet the above requirements, will incorporate the attested-to capital calculation into the 2017 rates. Providers that submit correction requests to the preview rates are not precluded from appealing the final 2017 capital rate when it is issued, although filing an appeal will void any correction request made to the rate in question.
