DOH to Streamline Nursing Home Capital Appeals

DOH intends to allow nursing home providers to attest to the accuracy of requested corrections to the state's 2016 capital component computation to reduce the need for appeals and speed up the process of addressing errors or omissions. Capital rate sheets are anticipated to be relased in mid-September along with instructions on how to request corrections. Correction requests along with attestation forms will be due in October to ensure DOH has sufficient time to process them before January. The corrections, just like the capital calculations and data on which they are based, will be subject to OMIG audit.
