DOH Posts Nursing Home Cost Report

The Department of Health (DOH) has posted the 2015 RHCF Medicaid Cost Report software on the Health Commerce System (HCS) and has issued a Dear Administrator Letter. Please note that the completed report and required certifications are due July 15, 2016, earlier than in recent years. As in previous years DOH is stressing that no extension requests will be available. On-time filing is important to avoid potential penalties and to maximize Nursing Home Quality Initiative scoring.

No major changes have been made to the report form, although schedule 10B has been eliminated and providers will now need to enter their Permanent Facility Identifier number into the software. It is very important that members arrange HCS access for those involved in filing and certifying the cost report well in advance of the due date to ensure that the report is filed on time.
