DOH Posts Budget Briefing Materials
The presentation slides and full recording of the Department of Health (DOH) review of Medicaid provisions in the Enacted 2023-24 State Budget are now posted on the Department’s Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) Budget Information webpage. The session, held on June 15th, featured a myriad of DOH issue area experts who walked through individual budget provisions, covering the waterfront from provider rate increases and Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) provisions through minimum wage and insurance coverage expansions to the many investments in targeted health care initiatives. While DOH did confirm that the State will request federal approval of a 7.5 percent nursing home rate increase, no further insight was provided on when that increase or the 6.5 percent increase to Assisted Living Program (ALP) rates will be paid. We will keep members apprised of State Plan Amendment submissions and other important developments.
