Cash Receipts Assessment Correction

DOH has addressed the issue that caused the 2012 Cash Receipts Assessment (CRA) reconciliation to roll into 2013, 2014 and 2015 resulting in overly large recoupments for some homes.  The error has been corrected and homes that were impacted will have the correct assessment reimbursement amount restored and their rates adjusted.  The DAL addressing this issue is available here

The DAL announces that the CRA reimbursement amount being paid will be updated effective 1/1/16 to the 2013 figure.  DOH is currently completing the 2013 CRA reconciliation.  This suggests that the CRA reimbursement amount paid in 2015 will continue to be based on the 2010 reconciled amount.

DOH had previously indicated their intention to use the 2012 reconciled amount in 2015 and some managed care plans are currently reimbursing homes based on the 2012 figure that was distributed as part of the nursing home rate listing.  We are seeking clarification on this issue from DOH and will let members know as soon as we receive it.
