DOH has posted updated rate sheets for numerous rate periods, including January 2022 rates reflecting the 2022 capital component as well as April 2022 rates incorporating the 1 percent Medicaid rate increase included in this year’s State Budget.

Nursing Home January 2022 capital update in process, MDS certifications due Aug. 12^th.

MDS data to be used for calculating acuity (CMI) adjustments for July 2022 Medicaid rates needs to be reviewed by Aug. 5^th and certified within seven days of review.

After two extensions, RHCF Medicaid Cost Report and associated certification deadline is closing in.

In a letter to CMS, LeadingAge NY noted that the State's proposed method for distributing $187 million to support nursing home staffing would violate the authorizing legislation and create perverse incentives by rewarding facilities that fail to meet minimum direct care spending requirements and excluding facilities that meet minimum staffing requirements. 

Medicaid cost report due date has been further extended, but additional due dates are approaching (PBJ, MDS review for CMI).

DOH has established a structure for accepting and reviewing applications for VAPAP funding from nursing homes.
