Nursing homes should closely track the rate adjustments being made as the state fiscal year comes to an end.   

LeadingAge NY held a call on Feb. 11, 2016 to explain the proposed solution to a minor UPL concern CMS expressed while reviewing the Universal Settlement. 

Nursing Homes are asked to submit W-9 forms to the Universal Settlement Trustee and reminded to complete a brief survey regarding prior ownership of their home. 

DOH notifies homes that calculation sheets for the 2014 Cash Receipts Reconciliation have been posted and rate adjustments will be reflected in Feb. 15 Medicaid checks. 

LeadingAge has established a new listserv to assist nursing home members in meeting the federal requirements for electronic payroll-based nursing home staffing data collection that go into effect July 1, 2016.

The state has officially declared that a sufficient number of homes have executed the Universal Settlement agreement to reach "universality". CMS sign-off is the final step before payments.    

DOH is processing the 2014 cash receipts assessment reconciliation, releasing CMI constraint on rates through Jan. 2014 and preparing initial Advanced Training Initiative payments. 

The Universal Settlement Trustees issued a status update with final distribution amounts and instructions for eligible homes on applying for the Special Appeals Fund.
