LeadingAge has established a new listserv to assist nursing home members in meeting the federal requirements for electronic payroll-based nursing home staffing data collection that go into effect July 1, 2016.

The state has officially declared that a sufficient number of homes have executed the Universal Settlement agreement to reach "universality". CMS sign-off is the final step before payments.    

DOH is processing the 2014 cash receipts assessment reconciliation, releasing CMI constraint on rates through Jan. 2014 and preparing initial Advanced Training Initiative payments. 

The Universal Settlement Trustees issued a status update with final distribution amounts and instructions for eligible homes on applying for the Special Appeals Fund.

Nursing homes with 2012 OMIG MDS audit findings or a constrained CMI in their Jan. 1, 2013 Medicaid rate should see retro rate adustments before the end of the year.  

Considerable progress has been made towards achieving "universality" but the State needs to hear from those homes yet to confirm their participation in the Universal Settlement.

Nursing homes have received Universal Settlement legal documents and are asked to sign and submit their packet by the end of this week.  A set of FAQs has been issued addressing common submission questions.
