Billing Error Search Tool

Providers looking to evaluate delayed or denied Medicaid claims can get detailed explanations through eMedNY’s online Edit/Error Knowledge Base (EEKB) Search Tool. The EEKB Search Tool provides potential causes and solutions to unresolved claims by allowing providers to enter codes shown on the PDF remittance statement, the Department of Health (DOH) 835 X12 Remittance Advice Transaction, or the DOH 277 X12 Claim Status Response. Three EEKB search and filtering options are available to providers if they have the five-digit Edit Number, Remit and Claim codes, and/or the text contained in the title. After entering the search criteria, detailed explanations about specific edits are displayed. The displayed results are printable.
