Attention Nursing Home CFOs!

LeadingAge NY would like to thank all those who have already shared their 2020 Medicaid Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF) cost reports with us and ask those who have not yet done so to do so at their earliest convenience.

As we prepare for budget advocacy, especially with a new governor, it is critical that we have good financial data that reflects the impact of COVID-19. Rather than subject members to another survey, we are asking that you simply email your 2020 RHCF-4 or RHCF-2 cost report (the file ending in .doh or .dat) to us at kallison@leadingageny.org. This will allow us to examine year-over-year changes in key metrics, especially staffing costs per resident day.

Individual facility data collected through this effort will be kept confidential and used only in the aggregate. We have requested and will eventually get the complete cost report data set for all homes in the state, but that is likely to occur only after the Executive Budget is completed. The critical time to impact the Executive Budget proposal and educate legislators is in the next several months.
