Informational Nursing Home Rate Sheets for 1/1/2012

DOH has posted an informational, one page Medicaid rate sheet for each nursing home showing how their 1/1/2012 Medicaid rate was calculated using the statewide pricing methodology.   Posted along with the rate sheets are a number of statewide files that serve as backup materials to the rate calculations. 

DOH will be hosting a Webinar to review the rates and materials on Wednesday, April 11 at 3PM.  Webinar registration instructions as well as instructions on accessing the rate materials are provided in the DOH message copied below.   The Webinar will be recorded and posted on line as well.   Attached to this message is the Dear Administrator letter that was issued along with the rate sheets.

TO ALL NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATORS:

SUBJECT: 2012 Informational Statewide Pricing Rates

Please be advised that the Department of Health’s Division of Finance and Rate Setting (DFRS) has posted informational nursing home rates and supporting documentation to the Health Commerce System (HCS). As described in more detail in the Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) the non-capital components of the informational rates reflect the new Statewide Pricing Methodology for non-specialty facilities and the January 1, 2009 rate for specialty facilities. The capital component of all such rates will reflect the preliminary 2012 capital rate transmitted to you on November 2, 2011. Following the approval of the Statewide Pricing SPA by CMS, the Department will issue another DAL which will provide details about publishing the rates for payment.

The DFRS will be hosting a Webinar to review the informational rate sheets and supporting documentation on April 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. If you have questions about the information contained in your informational rate sheets please submit an email to nfrates@health.state.ny.us and indicate in the subject line of the email “Statewide Pricing Informational Rates.” The Department will post questions and answers to the HCS and where practical, the Department will address answers to your questions in the Webinar.

1. Log on to the HCS - Go to Website - https://commerce.health.state.ny.us

Security Screen - enter your “HCS” id and password

Health Commerce System Welcome Page - select "NH Rate Sheets 4/2009-Forward" under the heading "My Applications"

Nursing Home Rates page - select "2012 Informational Pricing Rates Jan 1"

Identify your facility in the drop-down list under "Nursing Home Selection List" and then select "SHOW REPORTS"
