Nursing Home Managed Care Transition: DOH Update and Meeting/Webinar

Medicaid Update

The February 2014 edition of the Department of Health (DOH) Medicaid Update focuses on the nursing home managed care transition now slated to start as of April 1, 2014.  (In addition, there is important information on the Oct. 1, 2014 transition to ICD-10.)  Please be sure to review this update and keep on reference.

The update includes the following revised phase in schedule for the transition of nursing home residents to managed care.

Meeting/Webinar

DOH is hosting an in-person meeting/webinar on the nursing home transition to managed care for those managed care plans, nursing homes and consumer representatives located in NYC, Long Island or Westchester County on March 10th.  The in-person meeting will be held at the DOH Offices, 4th floor, Conference Room 4 A/B, 90 Church Street, New York, NY. Because of space limitations, only one person from each nursing home or plan will be permitted to attend this meeting. As soon as we receive registration instructions for the in-person meeting, we will forward them to members.

The meeting will be webcast for those that are unable to attend in person. To participate in the webinar (pre-registration not needed), please note the following from DOH:
