Register for Upcoming DOH/IPRO Webinar on How to Perform an Emergency Preparedness Tabletop Exercise
(Dec. 9, 2024) On Wed., Dec. 11th from 12-1 p.m. ET, the Department of Health (DOH) Division of Residential Surveillance – in collaboration with Shane Durkee, Public Health Emergency Preparedness Specialist at IPRO Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) – will present a webinar for nursing homes and home and community-based settings, including Assisted Living Programs (ALPs), on how to perform a Tabletop Exercise as part of an Emergency Preparedness Plan.
Through participation in this webinar, attendees will demonstrate the ability to:
- describe what a Tabletop Exercise is and is not;
- understand the value of a Tabletop Exercise;
- explain the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirement for a Tabletop Exercise;
- perform a Tabletop Exercise;
- perform an After-Action Review; and
- perform a Root Cause Analysis.
